The Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC) and the Texas Academy Of Family Physicians (TAFP) today released a report, How Will Texas’ Affordable Care Act Implementation Decisions Affect the Population? A Closer Look, The report and analysis projects the consequences to Texans should the Supreme Court rule in favor of the plaintiffs in King v. Burwell and provides insight into the economic burden to individuals and to the state that a growing pool of uninsured people creates. The report also examines the consequences of the inaction by state leaders to take advantage of opportunities under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to create a state health insurance Marketplace and to expand health insurance coverage to low-income, working Texans.

The report was authored by health care law and policy experts at The George Washington University. with funding support from the RCHN Community Health Foundation. It is available on the TACHC web site or you may download a copy here.
