The Foundation's projects concentrate on three areas of vital importance to community health centers and the people they serve: health care access, affordable prescription drugs, and health information technology. Our initiatives aim both to address the unique challenges that community health centers face today, and support the development of opportunities to sustain CHCs in the future.
Among the Foundation's current supported initiatives are:
- The Geiger Gibson/RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative: A multifaceted academic and scholarly research program focused on community health centers.
- Community Health Ventures: The business development affiliate of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), CHV offers joint purchasing and other programs to help health centers operate more cost efficiently.
- CHroniCles: A multi-media website showcasing the living history of the health center movement through the unique written and oral histories, historic documents, and photographs of every health center.
- CHC Webcast Series: a new series of live webinars featuring prominent guest speakers, and CHC-relevant research and reports.
