A central feature of the Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health Policy at the GW School of Public Health and Health Services is the Distinguished Visitor in Community Health Policy, which recognizes a leader in the community health center movement. The Distinguished Visitor program, supported in part through a sustaining gift from the RCHN Community Health Foundation to the SPHHS, provides an opportunity for students and faculty to work with and learn from a recognized health center leader. Rachel A. Gonzales-Hanson, Chief Executive Officer of Community Health Development, Inc. (CHDI) in Uvalde, Texas is the Geiger Gibson Distinguished Visitor for 2011-2012.
