National Health IT Week
September 26-30, 2016
National Health IT Week is an annual, collaborative forum showcasing the vital role of health information technology (HIT) in transforming healthcare across America.
This year, the focus of the week’s activities is on four essential themes related to demonstrating and expanding the VALUE of HIT:
- Value of Health IT in Innovation
- Value of Health IT in Expanding Access to Care
- Value of Health IT in Making Communities Healthy
- Value of Health IT in the Expansion of Economic Opportunities and Job Creation
National Health IT Week includes many opportunities to learn more about these important themes through web-based activities as well as local activities and events in our nation’s capital. A full list of National Health IT Partners and events is available at www.healthitweek.org.
Community health centers, the backbone of America’s safety net, continue to expand access, improve the health of their neighborhoods and serve as an economic engine in their communities, transforming care through the strategic and innovative use of HIT. The RCHN Community Health Foundation is proud to once again be a sponsor of National Health IT Week and to highlight the role of community health centers in providing comprehensive, high quality care and delivering value to their patients and communities. In addition to participating in this week’s activities, we encourages you to visit our Technology in Focus webpage to learn more about our research, reports, and presentations, and our commitment to supporting quality HIT for community health centers.
