John Ohlweiler.

John W. Ohlweiler is a Retired Partner and Of Counsel to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, a prominent New York City law firm. For more than twenty-five years prior to his retirement, Mr. Ohlweiler served as head of the Simpson Thacher Labor and Employment Practice Group, representing a wide variety of corporate and not-for-profit clients, including hospitals and other health care institutions. Since his retirement from the full-time practice of law, Mr. Ohlweiler has continued to provide labor and employment law advice and representation to charitable organizations on a pro bono basis.

Mr. Ohlweiler returned to the  RCHN CHF Board of Directors in 2017, having previously served as the Chair of the Board from its establishment in 2005 to 2012. Prior to that time, Mr. Ohlweiler served as a member of the Board of Directors of CenterCare Inc from 1997-2005, and as Board Chair in 2004-2005. Mr. Ohlweiler has also served, in the past, as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Mr. Ohlweiler has served as a Member of the Labor and Arbitration Committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and Labor Section of the New York State and American Bar Associations, and as a Member of the New York State Management Attorney’s Conference.

Mr. Ohlweiler is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
