Speakers will provide a high-level update of the implementation status of HITECH programs and discuss ongoing impediments to the robust interoperable exchange of healthcare information, and consider what steps the 113th Congress and the Administration may take to further address these issues.

Among the presenters are Dr. Peter Shin, Director of the Geiger Gibson Program (GGP) in Community Health Policy, Research Director for the Geiger Gibson – RCHN Community Health Foundation Research Collaborative, and Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy at the GW School of Public Health and Health Services.
