July 6, 2010

The inaugural session of RCHN CHF’s new live webinar series launches on TUESDAY JULY 6, 3:00 p.m. Eastern, featuring Dr. Jack Geiger and Professor Sara Rosenbaum. Dr. Geiger will discuss his recent co-authored New England Journal of Medicine article, “Health Care Reform and Primary Care – The Growing Importance of the Community Health Center”, which explores national health care reform and the expansion of community health centers (CHCs) to serve nearly 20 million new patients as part of an emphasis on accessible primary care. The presenters will review the history of CHCs and the potential for establishing the “Patient-Centered Medical Home” model in CHCs, and as a model of comprehensive, high quality primary care for all Americans.

RCHN CHF has partnered with the Clinical Directors Network (CDN), a well-regarded practice-based research network dedicated to developing educational programs and training opportunities for clinicians and other staff who serve low income and minority patients, to produce this series.
