National Health Center Week, 2016.
August 7-13, 2016

Celebrated in August each year, National Health Center Week (NHCW) recognizes the important contributions of community health centers, and the significant role they play in providing comprehensive, high-quality, affordable health care services. This year’s theme, “Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Innovators in Community Health” highlights the unique approaches and achievements of community, migrant, homeless, and public housing health centers in providing health care services to all, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay, and improving the quality of patient care and the health of medically underserved communities and populations throughout the U.S. for over 24 million people at more than 9,000 sites.

RCHN Community Health Foundation is proud to once again be a NHCW partner organization. We thank the National Association of Community Health Centers for their leadership and sponsorship of this week’s activities and events, which are listed, along with resources and tools to help promote CHCs in your community, on the NHCW website; and applaud the work of our community health center colleagues for their ongoing innovative efforts to improve the health outcomes of our nation’s vulnerable populations.

We hope to join our local colleagues and participate in NHCW events here in New York, and look forward to learning about your local NHCW activities.
